1985, Industry Duck, Oil on canvas, 80cm*60cm

The theme of this picture is a blend of animal and technology during our time. Ducks, birds and a snake represent the
animals; technology is represented by a mill, factory building and ship. It was important to me to provide the duck with a
contented and maternal expression. Also important, as in nearly all of my other pictures, was the overall use of vibrant
colours to provide the expression of a zest for life.
