1982 Flower Monster Oil on canvas, 40cmx52cm

The word “monster”evokes terrible mental images. Here it is demonstrated on a sculpture, which is lovingly assembled
with opposing elements. One finds delicate webs beside solid items out of metal (kettle), plastics and clay. Also, a
woman’s leg,as well as a flower is integrated. The way the monster stands there on its scrawny legs, invites fondness
from the willing observer, even if there is a certain pride within the playfulness.
